Custom Tail lights...
WOW its almost like a grey scale rx-8. i actully like stock better but it is deffinity a different look!
yeah, my rx-8 is black so it wouldnt look this good. Its close to Greyscale, but theres a bit of red, yellow and blue in those lights if you look
I actually like that, except it wouldn't look so good on Winning Blue. Looks perfect on the gray. Good job!! :)

i think it would look sweet on a yellow.
Hmm.. a much much cleaner look!

in some states it's illegal for the light to not reflect SOME red (there is a required amount in square centemeters if in one of these states and varrys per state) but lit or not, there must be some red.

Try -- http://www.lamin-x.com/ Its a film so if you decide you don't like them or a cop gives you trouble you can just remove them. They are precut to fit your lights too so easy to install. I cant personally say I have them but I am planning on getting some soon and I will let you know. Anyone else hear about this product? |

I don't know, this is what I planned on doing...
wow. the photoshop by abbid and the pic from Tayler both really look good.
Tayler's photoshop looks more legal, you'd still need SOME reflective material, but you could go black housings like mazda does with the Mazda3 sport and the Mazda6 sport.
Romeo, it looks realy good!
Can you post some more pics? |

Can you post some more pics? but if you want to see what something "custom" might look like, let me know. i'll do a quick photoshop of it and post it so you might have an idea of what it might look like... please dont ask me to change your white 8 into a blue one or something, just google a blue rx8!! Im talking about "custom" work. anyway, let me know... ...be creative... the more far out (even if you just want to see it for the look or for a laugh, still be creative) the better. -RoMeO |
I LOVE the stock tailights, but those don't look that bad.

I was wondering what each of these options would look like with a copper red paint job. -OS |
Uh..whats it matter what it looks like? If it's for the track only (which is absolutely has to be, rofl..) then why care about the looks? BTW, if you do make them, I'd be down for a set in Black :)
not my cup of tea but hey, it looks awesome, good job, something different!
