How many miles are on it? These two answers will determine if you can look at a warranty claim. |
where are you located?
|
Why is your user name so long?
|
And what lead you to this conclusion?
|
What part be cracked?
....you do know there is no 'block', right? |

You mean rotor housing my friend. And if your looking for some assitance answering the remaining questions would be helpful.

i dont know much on rotary motors took it too a mechanic he said the block was cracked while replacing the motor mounts, and its an 04 with 67k on it
|
oh my, ok how about a template:
Year: Miles: Standard or Automatic: Mods: How many miles have you owned it: How long ago did you buy it: Was this mechanic a mazda or rotary tech? or just a jiffy lube shop? Have you verified this claim and saw the cracking? Have you done anything to damage the engine or been in an accident? Update your profile with where you live, and more information on your car. |

How could you crack the block by changing the engine mount? I mean it's not attached to the engine. It's attached to a bracket that attaches to the engine.
Now if he was changing the mount bracket and it's broken down on the bottom of the front or center iron's then yes it is possible to crack an iron. Not easy but theoretically it is possible. Putting a bolt into cast iron and over torquing it could have those results. Way over torquing it. Did I say way over torquing the bolt? |
how the f can u break the iron when doing mounts ... jesus.
