Count me in for yellow
Hello all, just wanted to say thanks for all the great info I've been reading for the past year. Special thanks to Omicron and others for posting the yellow discontinuation threads. It pushed me over the edge to go out and get one of the last yellows. Was waiting for 2005 for any small tweaks to be incorporated but yellow was more important.
Picked it up last Friday from Huntington Beach Mazda. Kudos to George Karkafi, my salesman, for selling me another Mazda without any hassle. Honorable mention to the AAA dealer at Cerritos who was also very easy to deal with (first name slipped my mind but last name was Watts).
Have about 160 miles on it and love it. What an engineering marvel!!! Threw my kid's Britax Roundabout carseat in it. No problem. Even fit a full grocery cart full in the trunk with the spare tire. How many true sports cars can claim that? Handles like a dream! No surprises there, this is my fourth Mazda. Will add pictures later. GO TEAM MAZDA!!!

ibfubar2000, you must be the one I saw on the road on 195th in Cerritos, then Bloomfield and LaPalma about a month and a half ago. I told you I was waiting for 2005 models, but then the yellow news hit and I ran out and got one. I think I saw you again on 195th about 6pm heading east. I passed you in my 2002 MPV headed to pick up a play table for my kid from Toys-R-Us. I filled my first gas yesterday (16.3 mpg with spirited driving and A/C half the time) and 3 different guys came over to admire my yellow baby. It's the bomb!!! Look forward to seeing you at some of the meets.
