Let's see

After that same car broke down, I went to go get it, and because i couldn't PUSH IT enough off the road I got a parking on pavement ticket for that, I got a driving after 9, driving without inspection, Driving 50 in a 35, and those are all SOMEWHAT normal tickets.

The weird ones.

How about taking a right on a red, I was at a spot where i have seen literally thousands of people do the same thing I did, I didn't even know it was illegal, I was taking a right on red, and there was the a car in front of me, so i took a right. The cop .... coming from the way i JUST turned, did a U-turn in the middle of a busy 4 way to pull me over, but remember that the car is a 72 grand fury? yeah well since he had no more room on the side of the road he parked RIGHT on my ass like an inch or 2 at most, so when I put the car into drive it kinda "jerked back" and hit the cop and I got an unsafe backing for hitting his car.

Oh lets also not forget going through a road block and I my car had one of those automatic seat belts that comes over your shoulder, so i was sitting there, nothing wrong that I know of, pull up and the cops like "why isn't your lap belt on, and I was like "I didn't know i needed that part, and I had thought i had it on" now its quite obvious I didn't know not having that was against the law, but no he gives me a ticket anyway.

So lets see
Car broke down, Parking on Pavement
Took a right on red where TONS of people do it daily, that got me unsafe backing, and unsafe passing
No "lap belt" but the shoulder belt
Driving after 9, when it was 9:30
50 in a 35 (which i guess is normal)

I know I'm forgetting some too, just had a lot of stupid things, I got another No inspection a month ago because I was driving my moms car (before I had the mazda) and didn't know the inspection was up, made me late for class.

I would pay any speed tickets i had, but the other stuff is do dumb, they could've warned me on all of those, and Im not mean to cops at all, I'm really respectful and I'm not scared of them at all

:rollingla:"jerked back" and hit the cop and I got an unsafe backing for hitting his car.:rollingla:

Wow that sucks...I laughed so hard and I'm at work... you have no luck...

In Canada we take right turns on reds so that is not illegal. Different in the states...

Leesha, i have been pulled over twice in 2 weeks right around the time they put the 50 over law into affect in Ontario. Both times to check if i had modded the car with illegal parts. Every time it was on Airport road and Derry. They always have speed traps there, but I asked the cop the second time, you know you guys pulled me over last week to check my car, he told me it was just a random thing.

They are just doing there job, if he was a jerk im sure he woulda nailed me for clear turn signals or something trivial. But he let me go.

Leesha 01-08-2008 08:01 AM

Kris- It's definitely the car.

I went to the states this weekend...(Casino) and when I was crossing the border, the first thing they asked was, "Is this your car..."

Coming home right after the toll there was a road block and they were checking the cars. Of course they asked again this time wanting to know if I was the owner and if it was registered in my name...they let me go...

Then I get to the border and what do you know! The first thing they ask again is who's car is this...

I asked how come everyone always asks me that and he made up some lame story about my plate being on the dash but I told him I just put it there for the crossing and the other times it wasn't there....no explaination. I of course say...it's because it is a nice carl :)

Once again border crossing... Everytime & time again I get asked if this is my car...

Coming back into Canada they asked who owned the car... & asked to see my papers!! I didn't get pulled in but just a note to all...if your going over border shopping...don't lie & don't smuggle anything over... just because of our really hot car!

Oh & another time they checked all around my car & under it...

12oclock 08-11-2008 01:34 PM

I get followed and pulled over all the time. I'vve gotten 3 tickets within the last month. The last cop taht pulled me over i went off on asking him why he sees it necessary to profile me simply cuz my car is lowered and has tinted glass. There are some cool cops but most are pricks. So like Bone Thugs said "Fu** the police fu** em".

PaPaBear 08-11-2008 01:54 PM

One morning Iwas hooking very hard on an up-ramp to the South Florida Turnpike. A motorcycle Highway Patrmen pulls me over. I take my seat belt off and reach for the glove compartment to get my registration and isurance papers. The Patrolman walks up to my car takes a look at me and realizes how old I am and starts to smile (he was an old fart to). He said what's your hurry and I told him I had been working around the clock moving my company from one location to another and we are not quite done and business opens at 8:00 A.M. He then said why did I not have my seat belt on and I told him I took it off to get my papers. The dude slapped me on the back and said slow down and let me go. I watched him get back on his bike and he was still smiling. Maybe it was just plain luck because South Florida Highway Patrolmen give you tickets without mercy.

I have another one that happened ten years ago when I had a turbo powered Volvo. My wife and I were driving back from Ft. Lauderdale from a restaurant that sold burgers like White Castle but were named Castleburgers. I live in South Dade and had the burgers in the trunk for my neighbors. I was flying with a Porsche on the 826 expressay and passed a wrecker with a Highway Patrolmen's motorcyle on the flatbed of the wrecker. We were hitting about 100 when we passed the wrecker. Needless to say, I did not know that the Highway Patrolman was in the wrecker. The Porsche left me and I slowed down to about 70. When I got to the toll booth a Highway Patrolmen was waiting for me on the other side of the toll booth. It was a woman and she said to stay her until the Highway Patrolmen on the wrecker caught up. The guys gets out and was a big red headed southern guy who walked up to my car and said we missed the Porsche but caught up with you. (dammit to slow). He said why were you racing with the Porsche and I then thought my goose was cooked. I told him that I was not racing with the Porsche but wanted to get the burgers home before they got cold. I opened my truck and he saw two big bags of Castleburgers and looked at my wife's face and saw how pissed she was at me and turned to the woman patrolman and I could see him grinning. He reamed my ass and then said it looks like your in for real hell when you get back in your car. I could not believe he let me go but he did and he followed me in the wrecker to my exit and was still grinning. My wife did raise hell but also said that I have a way of saying things that make people laugh even when I am bad.
Hope all are as lucky as I have been.

The border crossing thing that Leesha mentioned earlier.....

I don't think it's the car..... I had a 2000 red eclipse before I got this car. My friend and I drove to Vancouver BC one day and they asked me the same question...

- Who owns the car?
- Asked my driver license even thou he had my passport in his hand...

Same story different border guard....lol.. :)

neXib 08-11-2008 04:36 PM

If I lived in the US I'd laugh loudly at all tickets. Get caught over 35 km/h above the speedlimit here and you can wave goodbye to your license for 6 months or more + a fine of 1000 dollars and upwards.

RufusVonStorm 08-11-2008 04:40 PM

What's the speedlimit on the freeway in Norweigia?

(Norvegia is a cheese here, haha)

It's 90km/h here, but there's only like 15km of freeway with two lanes in each direction, then it's 80km/h with one lane in each direction. Eastern part of Norway has some 100km/h freeway, that's the max limit for the country. Damn socialist government isn't interested in building road. They care more about poor people and our health... can you believe that? ;)

RufusVonStorm 08-11-2008 05:23 PM

Holy cow, and I thought the american freeways were frustrating!
