Clutch parts and labor!?!?
I was quoted at an auto shop $1,200 for parts and labor for a clutch job.
800 being the parts alone... and around 400 for labor. I think they're trying to rip me off. Any insight on this would help. He even said, "That's why I wouldn't buy this car" The labor sounds reasonable but the parts sounds outrageous if you ask me. I'm going to the Mazda dealership for their quote. |
Yea i think they are. idk waht kind of clutch it is but i think 800 is way to much

Yes....look at these parts....are you getting OEM?

hell i had my flywheel done for 300.00 for labor, idr price of flywheel. i think they are charging out the ass for labor..
Just did my GF's clutch in her 2003 eclipse GT, costed 500 for labor and that's damn near pulling the whole motor out. |
buy your own parts and find another price quote from someone else

They sound stupid cause the clutch is nothing special it's your typical manual transmission clutch job. It's the engine core of course that's different. As others suggest, buy the better parts and find another shop.
