Question cleaning engine bay

My engine bay is slightly dusty and is not the shiny black that it use to be. I was wondering if there was a simple way to clean it to make it shine again that i can do at home.

Whenever I Armor-All my interior, I also pop the hood and clean the engine cover, strut bar, the plastic over the battery, air intake, etc. It still looks like new under the hood. Well, unless you really look close.

go buy some simple green i think its called (don't quote me but i think its simple green) spray it on and let sit for a couple minutes take a hose or pressure washer but be careful not to get to much water in everything take an air hose and blow out all the extra water (towel dry if you don't have an air hose) then take some armor all and spray the entire engine let it run for awhile and wipe up any extra armor all but most of it should "melt" off for lack of a better word

if you just want it to look good at a glance.. put some plastic bags over the alternator and use simple green and a hose. then dry everything and coat it with some armorall.
otherwise man-up and plan on spending an afternoon with rags, simple green, qtips, pipe cleaners, more rags, and armor all.

I sprayed this stuff in the bay, then hosed it off. Bingo, looks great. Got it at the "Dollar Store." Really. Months ago. No rubber parts look bad since, so I guess it's OK.

To clean it, Simple Green or any other degreaser will work.

To make it shiny again, use CD2 Engine Detailer (Autozone carries it). Follow the directions on the can and your engine will look new again, guaranteed.
