I know there are a lot of threads about this problem..but i have a specific question about it..my CEL light just came on today and is staying on..it didn't flash..i have an rp supercat and borla exhaust on but i need to put an extra hanger on...would that be a possible cause of the CEL light?? what else could it be??

 

By any chance did you get gas today? Honestly, if your gas cap is lose, it will throw a CEL.

 

Do you have any more info? How is you car running? Did you do something right before the light came on?

Well I actually had a 200 mile road trip the same day..but i did get gas that day..the car is running fine but gas has been fluctuating a lil' too much in city driving..more than usual..yesterday the CEL light went away..and now i'm crossing my fingers that it won't come back..note: i've had the rp supercat on for about 6000 miles now

 

I've had the RP Supercat on for about 30k miles now, thats not the problem.
