Causes of low compression?
Hi there rotary lovers :)
If you haven't seen my other introductory threads, i am looking to buy a used RX-8 with a blown engine and rebuild it, long story. Looking around i find more low compression engines than completely blown and was curious of a few things... 1. What are some common causes to this low compression? 2. Would an engine rebuild with completely new gasket, seals, etc. generally fix this issue? 3. Are chatter marks still a problem with the housing as it use to be in it's early development? (considering cars with over 100K miles on the odometer. Cheers, Phil. |
There's a TON of information and answers to your questions here, you just have to search for it. Use Google and type in "site:rx8club.com low compression causes" or whatever you're looking for without the quotes and start reading... not a lot of people here will spoonfeed you all the information you're looking for.
