Car Wash
Anyone use them Auto Car washes in there 8's ? i don't really like them too much but I got a wedding Sunday and am working Saturday and have no time to wash the 8. Anyone strongly advise against them or should everything be OK and come out nice.

I'd rather spray it down at a self serve and dry it then take it through a auto wash with brushes or super high power jets just my opinion..

I STRONGLY suggest you do NOT use one of those auto car washes that has the rollers and bristles that attack your car.
If anything, just find one of those self car washes where you pump quarters into it. Take your own wash mit and a couple towels. You can wash your car in about 10-15 minutes (make sure to use the spot free rinse) and most are open 24 hours |

I would advise against it. Too risky IMO, it only takes 1 small stone/particle to be lodged in one of those nasty, used all day towels (at the end when workers wipe down ur car) to riddle your car with fine line scratches.

I would rather do doughnuts on a gravel road than go into one of thoes horrible car washes

If it's not "filthy dirty", just use a detail spray on it or California Duster. |
Hmm will give it a miss then .. will get up before everyone else and get wash it :)

If you must have your car washed by a machine, Touch-free is your friend :)
I agree with Jedi- go to a self serve and for 3 bucks just do it yourself in 20 minutes |
I always do it either in Self-Wash or by hand :) Won't have those nasty brushes destroying my VR paint :|

I'm running into this problem today too. I wanted to give my car a wash for our one week anniversary but I found out that our outside water is still shut off for the winter! DOH!
Maybe I'll drop by the self wash |
i run my car in a Touch-free 2 times a week, its good, after its done, i go up to a pump and dry it off with microfiber towel, and i open the hood to wipe down the engine covers and then i work my way around the door jams, and i forgot, the rims get cleaned after, after all that i check my oil. i can do all that in 10 min, and i even clean the inside of the car at the same time,,in the car wash lol
