Lol dealership prob scammed Mazda for the Core $$$ job. Sounds like it just needed oil change and clean off the spark plugs and to make sure the fuse box's and terminals are all dry.

ok, called my insurance co (usaa) and i have a guy coming out to look at it . and as soon as i get a estimate or a yes or no i will get in touch with a few ppl and see if the engines are still available ...or possibly a rebuild .......UPDATE* the car will start now but runs like poo. i woke up this morning and just wanted to see what it would do and it cranked and sure enough fired right up but ran really bad and wouldnt idle so after 15-20 sec i cut it off because i know it will do nothing but screw it up and found more oil on the floor coming from behind the a/c compressor on the engine housing

Of course, you can get any engine to sniff water a little at a time, but no engine or even compressor can take a full gulp of water without either breaking from excess pressure or warping from temperature change. Just getting electronics wet on a car is death. Anyone wanna prove me wrong?
i won't even spray water to clean engine on any car worth over $2000. I just took my 2002 Dodge Dakota for a "detail" and told them I didn't want engine cleaned for $15. I got "free" spray job with P0601 obdII code which means pcm dead. the pu still runs and exhaust smells clean, but the water destroyed my electonics "computer", and it's ready for trade soon. Anyone spray engines with water and no trouble? yeah, I sprayed my 1997 Stratus with no trouble, and it still works fine. Why does the nice shit always crater? |
talked to the dealership and they are going to get me a new clutch and engine mounts and will price match for me from another Mazda dealer, not sure if i can say who but its gonna save me over $600 parts and no labor, i needed to get this stuff done anyway
