Car Care Survey

I was just curious as to how many people filled out this survey, and how many of you gave all ten ratings. As I left dealership with my nex rx8 several weeks ago, The SALES RELATIONS MANAGER came out, and told me survey would be coming in mail, and said they need to get all tens, and if I feel they do not deserve all tens, to contact him, and he'll make it so I give them all tens. That kind of threw me off a bit, and seemed very pushy. In filling out this survey, I cannot give all tens, and I do not feel I should manipulate and call this guy as a way of seeing if I can get anything free. When it came to price, and the courtesy shown to me when buying car, I certainly give them all tens. However, when I wanted some extra dealer installs, they were all clueless about car. The saleperson, and finance guy told me I can add the mp3 player to my existing stereo, which was the bose system with 6 disc changer and casette deck. I was clueless, so I took there word for it, and added that to my extra dealer installs. I found out a few days later that the mp3/cd player would be a replacement for the 6 disc, and cannot be added on, unless I have them downgrade system by replacing changer I already paid for with this mp3 player which came out to $695 installed. It took a long time to get my refund, and they also never ordered the other parts that came on due bill for dealer install until I called them. It's been a huge hassle, and I have yet to be able to make an appoinement, because they just recently ordered my parts for install. I have to give them low ratings on their knowledge of car, and for making this a huge hassle. It just seems that a perfect rating on all categories is just impossible, as nothing can be perfect. I have to fill this out honestly, no matter what they say or offer me to do otherwise. What have you guys experienced, and what ratings have you given. Thanks!!

Just wait till you see the mark up for the accessories. Highway robbery.

They must get less Mazda holdback money or less of the hot car allocations if they get poor ratings. Kinda like how the fed govt can punish a state for not following it's legislation... withold funds.

The first survey I got I didn't feel out. The second one was for when my wife took the car in for me. So she feeled out the survey. She wasn't too happy since they wouldn't give her the rental since she wasn't 21 yet. But when she asked on the phone before she went in and asked if it would be a problem they told her no.

Hassle doesn't seem to match with a 10.

So we know something about the consequences for them not getting all 10s. What are the consequences for us? Do they know who gave what scores?

I got the envelope, but haven't opened it yet. My salesperson did tell me I would get the letter, but didn't make a big deal about it. So far they have given me very good service, but I have only had delivery and superficial question service. I haven't done the recall yet.

My dealer told me the same stuff about the survey, and candidly added that "nines won't do it - they want tens." A couple of weeks later, I had the 8 in for a CEL and the service rep said basically the same thing about the survey I was going to get for the service dept. visit. Mazda must really whip these people.
