Can you order an 09 RX8 GT with no moonroof?
I know you can build one on mazda's webpage without one, but a dealer here in Dallas told me that it can't be done. Does anyone know if that's right?

Yes it's right. If you want leather w/o moonroof, then get a touring and some how pay money to get your seats upholstered in leather. Or an R3?

lots of makes do their packages that way... the worse ive seen is infiniti for the g37s, if you want a base model, you get nothing and its ~36, if you want any one thing, moonroof, upgraded suspension, or any ONE of the packages you see online, you have to get all of them and it bumps the price to ~46. pissed me off a lot when i looked at it... also the clutch was icky and the car was numb.

getting a touring wont help, they come with the moonroof too. My only options then are to get a sport or an r3...

Get an R3, it'll be worth the extra money over a Sport. It couldn't hurt to check with another dealership though about your options, maybe they can find the gray area to order you a GT-like Touring model without the moonroof.

There's a white 09 GT sitting at the dealership I got my 09 at and it doesn't have a moonroof. So it can be done.. unless the car I test drove was not real and I was imagining things.. :P

A dealer saying somethng can't be ordered usually means "We don't have one like that in stock. What can I do to put you in one of ours today?"
Try another dealer. Ken |
Why WOULDN'T you want a moonroof? They make for such interesting moments like this one:
