Just got my new (to me) 06 RX 8 Shinka. I'm new to the 8 but not to Mazda, I had a MX-6 back in the day. Thanks to all the posts that I read here that convinced me to go to the RX. Havin' fun and livin' the life here in SW Florida. Will be check in'

Those are the two mandatory mods that will then lead you to the other 1000 that you'll eventually do.

I too have a 06 Shinka. This forum is mandatory for the proper care and feeding of the " 8 ". You can find out just about anything there is to know about the car but you must search first. Congrats and one one of the best features of the Shinka is the piano black console strips instead of the standard silver.IMO

 

The piano black strips are a lot nicer, Im painting my silver ones this winter.

 

Welcome to the Club. BTW, symptoms of that bug bite can include Fun, an extreme sense of happiness, a desire to hit 9K often, and in most cases modding.

What are your plans for the car? Post pictures if you can...

Thanks for the congrats, I'm sure that down the road I'll change to stickier tires and better cooling on the brakes, but for the time being I'm going to leave as is. It's just too much fun to blow past the wanna be's.

Finally got all my ducks in a row. Had camera battery and computer problems and here are the pictures of my toy.

 

Welcome.....................she sure is shiney! You do need to get at least some clear corners though.

Oh yeah........and we ALL said we wouldn't mod it. Let's see how long it takes!
