I recently read somewhere that there have been problems with bad welds somewhere on a pedal or something. It was unclear when I read it so I was hoping someone could clarify things and tell me exactly where they're located so I can check my RX-8 when I get it and fix any welds that might break. Your clutch pedal bracket that mounts to the floor board is only spot welded in 2 places to the rest of the clutch arm assembly. It's recommended to remove it, get it welded up fully, and then reinstall before it breaks

 

Ok thanks. Is it something easy that I can do myself or should i take it somewhere to have done?

 

If you don't know how to weld, take it to someone who knows...shouldn't cost much anyway
