Black RX-8 opinions on visual mods wanted
I'm considering tinting the windows and the rear lights on my RX-8 GT. I wish I had a rear spoiler too, but would need to find someone I trust to install it.
I was curious what kind of visual mods people like, or have considered, or even would avoid.

If I had a black rx8 I would for sure tint the taillights and the corner lights up front that are on the side of the bumper. If you do tint your taillights don't half *** it. Spraying a coat of niteshade on and calling it done will look like crap. Wet sanding between coats will give it a glassy look, there are nice videos on youtube for it I'm sure.
Window tint is a no brainer. I have not done it on my 8 yet but I plan to as the summers out here are horrible.

Rear spoiler definitely, and tint. I'd recommend getting a shop to do it, depending on the shop, some can provide impressive warranties.
Also, clear side markers. Looks something like this...

Possibly even the GT aero kit.

The wing is pricey because its completely functional. Its not only adjustable it has strength built in to withstand the heavy forces. A cheap CF functional wing will break under that kind of stress. This one allows you to adjust it down for highway driving to reduce the load, but when you hit the autox it will allow you to adjust the angle back up to create more grip. give and take man.
Check the for sale section in your area, you may get lucky and find a used hood for ~$400ish. I know most of the seibon cf hoods I see on here are around 400. You could also get that one new for $639 but then you gotta pay shipping. http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/s...10-p-8010.html
