best shipping company?

I'm planning to ship my 8 from Charlotte, NC to Malibu, CA
Any clue about good companies?

Thanks!

This is going to sound crazy but call a moving company like Mayfair or United I think. They can give you the best recommendations for Moving vehicles. They also may have a load or a partial load headed that way and be able to trailer your car, or put it into the back of a semi. I've seen it happen. ;)

I just went through this and have someone I would reuse in a heart beat. Assuming you want a open trailer, a closed semi is expensive and not necessary. This company goes from coast to coast and charges a little less then the big company becuase its owner operated. I shipped my daily driver and my 1990 300zx from CA to VA, it ran $1900 for both ($950 each car) and they arrived early and not a scratch on either.
This is who I used, I am "Jon" in the reviews. DO NOT GO WITH A BIG COMPANY, big companies hire out drivers and you can get anyone in that situation, the company I used has 2 drivers, one owns the business and has new trucks/trailers.

Good Luck :)

I just called them, and unfortunately they don't typically go down to nc. Thanks for your help!

I used DAS (Dependable Auto Shippers) to have my car shipped from Tulsa, OK to Pittsburgh, PA... it was top-loaded and I had $50k in insurance. My total cost was just a fraction over $700 and I was more than pleased with the service. I know that they are one of the preferred auto shippers for ebay also.

Yeah, I think DAS is pretty good, I just called them and I got a quote for about 1030$ which is not bad at all. But the problem is it'll take them at least 14 days to ship it, which I think is a long time. I'm gonna go for them if i couldn't find any other good deals.

FedEx Custom Critical would, but it'd probably hurt the wallet more than others
