it's so far lasted all night, and just smells like incense mixed with febreeze :-) I'll let you guys know tomorrow what's up. Thanks to everyone for your input!

So good news guys! The smell is GONE! Maybe it was the febreeze in that opening in the hood... maybe it was burning an entire stick of incense- who knows. My guess is that pollen and plant debris got into the cowel (I hope I'm using that right) and just kinda took up residence to decay. Now my car smells like Cool Rain with a hint of febreeze. Thanks everyone for your help with this!
