AP Midpipe

so after about 4 hours i threw in the towel on my install of my mid pipe, the removal of the catalyst was by far the most easiest thing in the project. it took me 10 mins to get it off

my first problem with the midpipe was the lack of bolts and gaskets, unlike bhr and RB which provide the items, ap doesn't so i ended up using the 3 OEM bolts by the header, they were ok to use. i could not however remove the rear bolts; i know the nut is welded on so i tried to remove the thread thingy and ended up snapping it. i went to a hardware store to purchase 2 m10 1.25 thread and bolts and ended up striping the housing of the bolts, now i have a 1 inch gap in between the midpipe and exhaust the needs closing. my only solution is to take it to a muffler shop and see if they can close it.

is this something that a muffler shop can do? or do i have to take it to mazda?

nah a muffler shop will do it easy but idk if they will touch it because its illegal ... i had a similar problem but i managed to install it after trying for a while and it worked ... also if you have a local mechanic who you know he will prolly be able to fix the issue too
