I had creaking cloth seats.

The dealer adjusted the tracks and the creaking is gone.

interesting how the stiffer chassis has a squeaking seat problem.

My seat does creak, going in for oil change probably next week, I'll have them take a look.

me? 185, take highspeed corners whenever there is no one within sight :).

Mine (manual cloth seats) started creaking at around 1,000 miles.

Seems to be coming from the right rear area of the seat. I'm hoping it's one of the mounting bolts (as mentioned in other threads) and not the seat itself.

I tried to loosen the mounting bolt, but it didn't budge. I'll have to try again sometime soon.

I weigh about 180lbs. Creaks whenever my weight shifts. Moreso when getting into or out of the car than during cornering.

Annoying though, and embarassing when someone else hears it. Makes it seem cheap and old already.

Same here. The creaking seems to go away after driving for about 5 minutes.

9800 miles on my cloth seats and no squeaking/creaking. take corners at the highest speed i can safely/legaly(in that order)on a regular basis(except when the wife is in the car;)) squeaking seats are NOT normal. but lots of things can make them lose. heating/cooling,expanding/contracting over time can make things loose requiring some maintenance. i would suggest a split washer-locking nut to help keep things snug if these are not already in use. it will lessen the chances of the sqeak coming back

My cloth seats started creaking about a week after I got the car. I mentioned it to service dept (on the phone one day) and they never heard of a problem (typical). I am pretty sure that my seat can get crooked in the tracks as well. That is, if you adjust the seat forwards and backwards, it seems that it is possible to get one side a notch ahead of the other (typically the right side on mine). I looked under the seat and there seems to be alot of play in some of the linkages/connections. Will have the shop look at it closely when I go in for first oil change.

I've had my creaky seats looked at about 3 times now when the car was in the shop for other things- the last fix involved some kind of foam packing ???? it held for several months but now I'm occasionally getting the creak again- I notice it most when winding the 5 levels out of the parking garage after work.

When I take it in on Monday for an oil change I'll mention it again - I wonder if I should ask for a new seat?
