Aluminum Hood & hail bad mix

Well, we had a hailstorm the other day with the larges chunks being about a Nickel diameter in size. I counted 3 very small dents on the roof and truck but have about 8 small to mid size dents in the hood. The Aluminum hood is very weak apparently and being black they really stand out. Very disappointing.. Very disapointing:sad:

PDR.. I happen to like Dent Wizard. WOrks wonders on aluminum or steel, and are (comparatively) cheaper than traditional bodywork.

They'd work my Miata every 3 or so years, get rid of slings and arrows of daily driving. They've massaged out a few dents on that car's hood, which was also aluminum.

The procedure evolved in the midwest, because of hail...

Give 'em a ring. :)

Strongly recommend paintless dent removal - DentWizard, DentBusters, which ever brand you use. I'm in Chicago too - we got that wave of hail out where I live, and I managed to get my car into the garage about 2 minutes before it started! Whew! Paintless removal will get them right out without painting the car. And cheap too - on a hail-dented panel, it will be about $20~$30/dent for 5 or more dents. My ins. co. waived my deductible the last time I used them because the cost is so low and there's no warranty liability since they aren't painting and such.

Hail has bad effects on all cars... Not sure I would call the aluminum weak.

consider yourself lucky.

Note that quarterpanel damage. That's steel btw.

Oh man, y'all had to pull up poor Canary's car. That is the difference between Texas hail and Chicago hail on average. His looks minor compared to some I saw in San Marcos not too long ago. They had holes. You could sit inside and see daylight.
