Already needed a new transmission PLEASE HELP

I got my car about a month ago from the dealer....shortly after I heard a loud rattling noise when I took it to 6500rpms.....
I have an automatic with the tiptronic....
So I bring it in to be checked....and sure enough, a new transmission was ordered and installed....
The loud rattling noise is back, but i doubt it's the transmission....it sounds like I am dragging coke cans....any help or suggestions would be appreciated!!! :tear:

Have you experienced a power loss when you hear the rattling sound? Not to alarm you, but a number of auto transmission cars have engine issues, like loss of compression, when the weather gets hot. They describe the sound as "gravel in a tin can".

Do a forum search on "rattling sound" and read some of the threads. The combination of hot weather, AT cars, and stop and go driving has resulted in a number of engine replacements. Hopefully that's not your problem but do the reading and be informed. It may be helpful when you discuss this with the dealer.

Good luck.

you may have a few more steps to go on this, but I concur...follow up yur states lemon law and see how many more times Mazda has to F-up ur car. It's only a matter of time. :slap:

At least it's under warranty now. Give it to Mazda and let the doodle around with it for weeks while yur inconspiciously conspiring at the local lemon law activist office :bigok:

Seriously...let Mazda deal with it, and don't stop till yur happy...or until they put you in a new car...which'll hopefully be a manual this time around

Check the A/T section--you need to run it to redline from time to time--second, what gas are you using? I have an A/T and the one time I had this issue and took it to the dealer--it was due to bad gasoline. Other than that I haven't had any problems with my car except for the collapsed motor mounts--which they replaced in about an hour last Friday.

I am about to turn 50k. Around 30k, my car started acting up. Big power loss when driving over an hour a day. I am talking about major power loss. Fans would run for 30 minutes after shutdown. My cup holders were cup warmers. My truck was a toaster oven. I am aware that rotaries have fought heat from birth. No CEL either. There are a bunch of threads that have the same issue. I can almost bet your CAT is gone.

Getting rid of the car has or never will be my option, unless its is wrecked. Contacted Mazda North America several times, which I recomend. Took the car to Memphis dealerships and Jackson dealership. The dealers have not a clue. Told me to bring it by when it was acting up. Did that. Nothing. I started feeling like I was crazy. Maybe its something I have done? No.

New intake, new plug wires, new clutch, new pressure plate, new flywheel, new plugs, reflashes to CPU, different gas. and repeated resets to both memory banks.

As hard as I tried, the more it became more of an issue. For starters, my gas mileage was dropping to 180-200 miles a tank. All these parts I am throwing on are physicaly more effecient than a stock 8.

The dealer at one point ruled out the CAT. This is after telling them I heard a leak from exhaust somewhere. Nothing.

About a week ago, I jacked my car up high enough to take a gander at the exhaust system. Did you know the CAT is the lowest point in ride height? Did you know the parts inside the CAT are very delicate? There was some battle damage. I ordered a midpipe that moment. This was the only thing left before giving up on the hunt.

Son. Not only did I solve the problem, but I got a bad ass car. This thing will freakin move man. No CEL after 600 miles.

When you shake the CAT, you can hear bits and pieces inside. It is a two stage CAT. The sensor is between the two. If the Aft section goes, no CEL. Mazda will not address this. So I had to take it in my own hands.

Its hard to say what kind of gas mileage the car gets. It just wants to tumble those rotars. I am getting way better than I ever have. I bet she could go to 275-300 a tank.

Try cleaning your MAF sensor first. Run some octane boost. If that does not solve it. I would really consider looking at your CAT.

I Asked If It Could Be Cleaned And He Said You Can Take A Injector Out And Try To Clean It But It Most Likely It Will Not Reach The Area Due To Where It Is And Probaly Wont Help For Long.

So if we dont red line our 8 every other day at 50,K miles I'm going to have to pay $3,K for a new intake? Great one more thing to add to the list and when people do red line they say it sounds like:"Marbols in a blinder" So now I'm like WTF?

what i mean is i turned the a/c to HOT and turned the fan level to 3.
this rattle only occurs at certain temperature, when the ambient temperature is cold, it's perfectly fine. somehow it rattles only at around 15-26 degrees C.

No, it rattles when i hit into a bump

Yes you do need to redline every other day or you'll get carb build up. I have never heard of "bad gas".
