mine is slow to turn over sometimes but I've had no flood problems

I think one guy had his battery placed

I test drove one... and the guy drove it first, also. Interesting.... (thought I would contribute--first post w00t) I'm surprised the guy let me drive it, someone wrecked one earlier in the day.. plus I'm only 18..go figure:D

So many flooding problems posted must mean that mazda again has an ecu glitch. New rotary engines with perfect compression should not flood even when cold. They can/should be able to fix this problem pretty soon. With a programmable aftermarket ecu, my 13B does not flood under any circumstance. If I can do it, so can mazda!

OK - here's a question...

How warm is "warmed up enough" to prevent flooding upon subsequent start? Is 5 minutes OK (how about less?), or do you need to have the temp gauge move into the normal range?

If the needle is up to the middle of the temp guage its fine, or if you wont want to wait that long, rev the motor to 3000 rpm for 10-15 seconds and turn it off immediately.
