"off topic" the MS rims on the blue 8 in that link are amazing IMO :O fender looks pretty sweet sorry never seen them before though :/

Ive heard fitment is terreble and you will spend some doe to get these things to look as good as they are shown on the site.

Nerve 12-30-2009 04:40 PM

Here's one of the threads that talks about their bad fitment.

stay away, stay away, stay away from those fenders. unless you do your own body work, are really good at it, and are willing to spend a lot of man hours fixing the mistakes, do not get those fenders.

Doesn't get getreddy2Greddy have those fenders? They look sick on his car. Fitment looks okay to me, even if they do need some work.

and1kidd 12-30-2009 05:54 PM

Ask getreddy2Greddy. He told me he spent more on fitment then he did on the fenders themself.

Jedi54 12-30-2009 05:59 PM

Gr3ddy has them and they look pretty damn good but it's very pricey to get them to fit the way they're supposed to.

They're $625 from Accolade but you'll be well over the $1k mark to get them put on

ZumnRx8 12-30-2009 06:37 PM

^+1 $what JEDI SAID. Paint alone is going to be alone at least $150 a fender... and thats the price i can get it at....fitting+install is going to be another several $hundred

9krpmrx8 12-30-2009 10:56 PM

Expensive but the results are sick. $1,000.00 on those fenders is legit compared to the number of shitty fitting parts other people have.

kennyt2001 12-30-2009 11:12 PM

cool guys thanks for the info

8upbad 12-31-2009 04:08 PM

This makes me sad. This is one of the nicest body parts IMO but not worth anything over $300....

why not?
an OEM fender is $300. you don't think a better looking aftermarket fender should cost slightly more?

I hope you never look at the cost of the Panspeed fenders. ;)

an fyi my fenders are for sale

i would not ever recommend buying these new, find someone who has already done the hard work. mine will just cost you the 150 each to paint

The stock parts cost too much too! Lol. And 430% isn't slight man. I don't get anything but the best (...I have a problem) and from what I see from others this doesn't fit, costs a lot to paint, and does nothing in terms of performance (yeah, I know it's not a turbo but still...), so I said it's not worth $300 and I stand by that. I'm in school for this shit so please just be patient and I'll have some good mods to sell right after school ;)

stop being cheap. $300 for a proper fitting OEM fender is not that much

how did you get a 430% increase?
Are we talking about the Accolade fenders vs OEM?
OEM = $300 (msrp) x 2 = $600
Accolade = $625 (shipped to my door) for both.
that's a difference of $25.

Neither do I. (have you seen my mod list?) but as the saying goes, "you gotta pay to play"

A body shop could address all but one of those issues for you. As with just about ANY aftermarket body panel, some modification will be needed to ensure proper fitment.
G3tR3DDY2GR3DDY did the necessary work and his fenders fit very well.
As for performance: I won't even go there.

Everyone has their own way of determining worth so I shall not argue this much as I will not sway you one way or another.
I will simply say that if this is look that one finds appealing, one could easily justify the cost.

let us know how that works out. ;)

I see your point and I know 300 isnt bad for OEM. I love these fenders, I was just disappointed that they got such bad reviews... And as for the 430%, you said $300 for stock and $1200+ for the custom after install... but after both are installed it is closer than that soooo.. good arguement  My last car site hated my guts for trying to have good arguements lol.

Jedi54 01-01-2010 01:05 PM

Jared: nothing wrong with a healthy argument / discussion. :)

G3tR3DDY2GR3DDY 01-01-2010 02:03 PM

just an fyi, the oem fenders come unpainted.

so you got probably about 600 for set (300 each) and 300 for paint (150 each)

so 900 for oem fenders or maybe 1200 for accolade fenders

thats not bad at all... i wish i had the option of buying cheap , good fitting fenders before

VSnakeByteV 11-28-2016 04:22 PM

Has anyone tried to make their own vented/louvered fenders from their stock ones? If I can get a cheap used set I'd be willing to try it lol. I plan on wrapping my car, so I'm not concerned about paint at the moment.

Jedi54 11-28-2016 04:29 PM

can't wait to see pictures of what you come up with VSnakeByteV.

I really like this style and can't find them. Probably something like this is what I'd like.
