Access port MazdaManiac

Hey everyone I've searched around a bit and haven't been able to find a recent thread so here's my question. Does mazdamaniac still sell the access port? I notice his site is still up so I would assume so but I haven't seen any recent activity regarding it on here.
In your personnel opinion is it better to buy one from him or to buy one used off the classifieds here?
I need it so I can delete my check engine light for my emissions in a month so I need it in a decent amount of time. Anyways any feedback would be great!

Mazdamaniac is banned from RX8club.com

If you just want to "Mask" the cell a used one would be best IMO.
Note I said MASK it doesn't not delete the CEL (MIL).

This is important as distinction ... if you just need the light off to pass a visual inspection it should work.
If they actually hook a ODB diagnostic tool up ... you're mileage may very

So I have a gutted CAT and was under the impression from the multiple threads I've read that the Access Port not only masks the CEL but can also completely remove or shut off the trouble code that set it off? Because I well be having a computer plugged into my OBD to pass emissions

Interesting.
Well I've been wrong before.

If it does indeed work that way it will be good for me as well when I go for an eTest

If I remember correctly there are like three codes the CELs can be set to, enabled, masked, and disabled and people were setting it to "masked" which turned off the actual light for the CEL code, but the code still appeared when an OBDII was plugged in.

Also, could be wrong on this.
