Wife was coming home yesterday, in traffic about 20 mph , stop and go. Car died , she restarted , but would not shift right.

Took it right to the dealer , she got a loaner.

Called today, the 8 will have a engine replacement !!!!!

It's not dead, just in for some reconstructive surgery!

 

I'm at 28000 already on my third motor. But the new engine is brand new from Japan not a reman. Got lucky with that.

 

Thank god for the powertrain warranty, huh? I have 82,000 miles on my 8, no engine issues but it's always good to know the engine is warrantied to 100,000 miles.

Hope they cover all of it! you should be happy....new engine!

 

It should be a quality engine and you have the most recent flash, this should last you a while. The damage was probably done by the old flash.

 

damn. poor 8. i hope everything will turn out fine and more zoom-zoom w/ new engine!

in the meanwhile i should get my 8 checked to see if everything is alright
