5x100 wheels

i was wondering is there something that would let me use 5x100 wheels? is there some kind of adapter?

the only thing i can find is the other way around which is 5x100 to 5x114

also is there any effects of using an adapter?

For the money you would spend trying to convert them to work you could have just bought the right bolt pattern wheels to begin with.

well i got the rims off craigslist for $140 so they weren't that much to begin with, but i was wondering if there was some kind of adapter

kersh4w 09-14-2009 03:34 PM

i believe there are spacers that act as adapters.

edit:

Yes they do exist, at $45 each I don't think you will be using them. They also will greatly effect offset.

what do you mean "I don't think you will be using them"?

oh and thanks to everyone who helped... i found a somewhat local company to do it custom for $140

its still cheaper than buying a new set of rims:evil_laug
tired of stockers

There is the cost for four of them, you might need to mod the fenders, you might be pushing your wheels out an inch or more. You might also will change the way the car handles with that much extra offset, that will need to be corrected.

actually, i chose the thinnest thickness.... 19mm (0.75in)
i dont think i need to roll the fenders... especially since the rims are only 17"

Do you have the rims yet? I ask because not all 17" fit our cars. Most do, but some might not clear the brakes ( if you have a base A/T that came with 16's this is not a concern). I wouldn't commit to four adapters till you did a test fit. Can you get one and do a test fit?

Twiztog43 09-14-2009 11:55 PM

wtf? really?

i was under the assumption that the MT at LEAST clears 17"
i knew that 16" wouldn't clear the brakes but are you really serious?

i do have the rims but how would i do a test fit if the bolts dont even line up with the bolt pastern on the rims?
