245/40-18 for $66.00 each?!
Sorry for the double post but I am really anxious for some feedback and I know some people tend to stick to particular subforums.
http://www.tires-easy.com/start.html Thay have a Wanli 245/40-18 W rated tires for $66.00.. I have never heard of the tire brand that are $66.00 but according to their test it scored mid range for dry braking, grip, and tread life. The $300.00 each tires only scored 25% highre and they are over four times the price per tire. Am I missing something? I know you get what you pay for but I think I might get a set just for the hell of it. $270.00 for four W rated tires? |
wow, never seen or heard of that site, they do have toyo's for $100 each, but remember you get what you pay for.
|
Yeah, I am a big believer in that logic but even the name brand tires are much cheaper than the major online carriers.
|
I can't find anything about wanli tires quality either so I don't know if that is a bad thing or not?
|
ditto, never heard of them, i probably wouldn't purchase them, though it is a great price. You really can't beat kumho's, very good price (120 to 140 each, depends if you go 225 or 245) and alot of people hear have nothing but good things to say about them.

that tire is two generations old.. i had them on an old supra. was a great tire in its time.... 10 years ago... i would look at the reviews of it and compare it to a more recent tire.. you can get the kumho spt for 10 bucks more and it is a great street tire.... track tire no.... this site looks like it does closeouts.. but not discounted enough to make it worth the old in it. tire rack does not even carry the supra 712 anymore. where tirerack has the kumho mx. great all around tire for the money. track ok auto x ok... 142. your link 210. this is just kumho. the bigger brands priced worse... the good news is they are still selling the bstone 040. for way to much money. beers  |
Okay so the wanli according to tyretest.com scored low but half of teh reviews are not in english so....... But the Linglong L688 which is $74 a tire scored a 3.5 out of 5. But hell, a tire called linglong?

They were sued and I dont think I would take a chance on them. As for the tires you found, seeing that they are 10 years tires you maybe dealing with a liquidator of old tires. Tires do have a shelf life and will start to harden and dry rot with age. You great price my reflex an old tire they could sell else where. |

Hard to fathom nuance with the written word, even with smileys. Please forgive. |
