2009 Mazda RX-8 Question??

I am currently looking to purchase a mazda rx-8. I think the car has the smartkey. I will go look at it to make sure next month, but I was wondering can the windows be lowered using the keyfob. My mom'a Acura does this with the smartkey, just curious.

Thanks in advance!

Not with the rx8, sorry.

Wrong per usual....

On the S2 cars take your keyfob, press unlock + unlock + hold unlock

windows will roll down.

and if you want to put your DIY to the test, try this to add a window roll up feature: https://www.rx8club.com/series-ii-diy-161/diy-series-ii-door-windows-rollup-using-factory-remote-225280/

Yep, do this and it will work.

Its a cool feature but pretty useless, the useful one is when you put your key in the door and turn and hold it in the lock position it will roll them back up for you. So if you or a passenger forgets to roll the windows up you don't need to get in the car again.

I can't wait to get my RX-8.. I'm super excited. Also thanks you guys for the answers to my question.

You can also hold the lock button on the outside door handle to roll up windows. Does not seem to close the sunroof though. My key never leaves my wallet.

I found one really cool feature - take the key, put it in the ignition - and then turn it ! Now DRIVE your rotary.

^Why, when the OP is clearly going to have the Smart Key and won't need to use it to start vehicle?
