Well, I didn't aim. It's not quite on center. My objective was to get the guage exactly in the middle, but my aim was off since I didn't really take my time. I just pointed and shot without looking.

I've hit 145 MPH before...It was deffinatly awsome..Scared the livign hell out of myself though because of how the tires grip to every little thing in the road..i was sooo worried i was gonna fly off the road at that point...one of my raceing buddies was in the back seat taking a nap on our way to orange park when i was flooring it and he happend to wake up and went, "well, i guess waking up going 145 is one of the best ways to wake up"

I wanted to see how high i could hit..but my radar detector went off, so i slowed down..

Correct, but I assure you, it wasn't reading in metric.

There are two orange things, the one in the middle is DSC off and the one on the right is the cruise main on indicator.

You can toggle it between US and metric -- one of the little buttons on the instrument panel does it.

It was dusk. The camera was on my chest. I just reached down and pushed the button. The flash was auto.

WOW
145 sound like the speed limiter was working. I have read it works at 146 mph. Never had the opertunity to test it. Years ago I did have fun in a Mazda RX2 averaging 110 mph accross Nevada and Utah and took a picture at 125mph. It is fun.

yea.. was that in 5th or 6th? ive never gotten mine above 138.. trust me. ive tried.. but never had enough of a strait stretch that i wasnt worried about a piggy busting me around the corner to push it farther... can you hit 148 mph in 5th gear.? or sixth?

my boy at the mazda dealership said that one of the tech;s in the back knew of a way to change your rx8 back to original horsepower that it had overseas.. like 280 hp vs 238... has anyone else heard this. or think it is possible by messing with the electronics internally?????

We georgia boys like to go fast, had mine at an indicated 150, which kindof debunks the whole speed limited at 146 or 149 theory. Maybe the car actually does know how fast it is really going, it just gives us the optimistic viewpoint. Doesn't take that long to get there, everyone should try it once. Rotaries like high revs...

if your already going 138 it's too late too worry about piggy . it is the same ticket going either speed. but i will be honest i dont have the ***** yet to go 145 i had mine to 130 and damn that was fast.
