Anyone got pic for the engine start button that equipped with the 06's? I just want to see how it looks and where it's located.

This is the 06 "start button." It's just a keyless knob that you turn like a real key would. It works with this key card transmitter.

you know in the "old days" they all had start buttons. you know that a button and a keyed switch do the same thing right- one you push and one you turn.

No...in the "old days", there was this cold, usually rusty, 1" bent, steel rod sticking out from right below the radiator. Later came a "MOD" which was a hinge, allowing your to fold your crank to the side and avoid harpooning any unlucky soul you happened to run over.

<cough>not that I would know or anything<cough>

It's good that they have a knob and such instead of just a button. Otherwise poor Bella would still probably be sitting at the gas station! Something interfered with the transmitter signal and the ignition wouldn't unlock so the car could be started. It just kept flashing "KEY" and beeping but wouldn't do anything. The real key with the chip in it had to be popped out from the transmitter and inserted into the ignition, after removing the knob cover, before the car would start.

i'd gladly take the new 06 turn switch over the start button. at least we don't have to take out our keys. Except for bunnygirl's incident at the gas station. lol
