Yes you read the above right! We are starting the raffles early this year in hopes we can raise enough money to lower registration cost and provide even more prizes, events and just plain fun!
RAFFLE #1 - RX-8 Double DIN Radio Mounting Kit (Metra)
Prize:
1 Metra RX-8 Double DIN Radio Mounting Kit
OR
1 Prize Equivalent to the value of the above prize (Currently $195)
Purchasing Tickets:
Tickets must be purchased through the RX-8 BOTD Website:

Prices:
1 Ticket = $3.00
2 Tickets = $5.50
3 Tickets = $8.00
10 Tickets = $28.00
Rules:
Tickets MUST be purchased through the Paypal link provided to you via this site. All other monies sent to this account will not be counted towards the raffle. This is the only way that we can keep an accurate count of what funds are set aside for RX-8 Brotherhood of the Dragon Event 2008.
In the Event the Raffle does not sell enough tickets by 11/30/2008, the raffle will automatically become a 50/50 drawing and the winner will recieve 50% of the proceeds.
You do not need to be present at the event to win, prizes will be given out immediately upon ticket drawing through out the year!
Details:
This raffle is for the outlined prize(s) noted above. Anyone can participate and you are more than welcome to sell the prize if you win. The prizes were NOT donated to the Planning Board of The RX-8 Brotherhood of the Dragon. This Raffle Package is in the possession of the BOTD board. BOTD Board of Directors are not eligible to participate in the raffles. All funds collected will be used to enhance the Annual RX-8 Brotherhood of the Dragon meet. As each ticket is purchased your name will be added next to a number in the table. Upon completion of the raffle one number will be drawn by an official Notary Public of the State of Florida, who will authentic and verify the results. The Notary will then complete the official winners contract and sign it. The winner will then be provided instructions on claiming the prize. Please Direct all questions to jamesg@rx8botd.com.

Remember you don't have to take the Radio unit if you don't want for this raffle you can choose anything of equal or lesser value

You are completely right.....I upped the $28.00 to 11 tickets and credited everyone who bought 10 tickets to 11 tickets.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is this whole double DIN thing? I'm trying to look it up on google but I don't really understand. From what I am reading, single/double DIN refers to dimensions of car radios. So what would the change be from our stock setup?

Yes we are making money off of the raffles, by we I mean the BOTD Board of Directors. All funds are 100% a part of the BOTD fundraising for the 2009 event. The board is not paid any money and is volunteer only.
On another note:
Well everyone, it looks like we did not sell enough tickets to break even on this raffle. So I will extend it another day to see if we can sell about 50 more tickets, otherwise we will turn this in to a 50/50 raffle and the winner will receive 50% of the proceeds in a Gift Certificate to the store of their choice.

a racing beat cat back, strut bars, cold air intake.... those are some more popular items that i think more people would buy tickets for but i wouldnt expect to see any high number of ticket sales with the current economy situation

Well, because we did not sell this raffle out by the end date and we did not sell enough tickets to break even, this raffle was turned in to a 50/50 Raffle. 50% of the proceeds will go to the 2009 BOTD Fund and 50% will be given to the below winner in a gift card to the vendor of their choice.
