We are now in full planning mode and one of the major events of the BOTD Event is the annual White Water Rafting Trip.

This year the trip will be on Friday morning/afternoon. I have posted the information on the rx8botd.com site and have set up the ite to prepurchase your tickets. Please remember we can guarantee your spot on the trip if you prepurchase tickets. If you are not able to prepurchase a ticket please remember that we can not guarantee a spot will be open once we get there.

Oooh, just asked this on another thread, shoulda read ahead, sorry! But does the rafting really last until four p.m.? Tryin to cram some other stuff into the trip...just curious.

 

Yep, don't you remember last year? It seemed like they were gone ALL day! Actually it was a nice relaxing day for me. This year I'm gonna scream down the rapids ... AND YOU AND YOUR SIS BETTER DO THE SAME!

Not sure how far away the location is, but there is some driving to and from figured in.

 

It's a fun drive back and forth as well. The new location changes all the driving distances, so I'm not sure how long of a drive.

 

Yeah, I remember John, you read and drank beer on the porch, it was an awesome day! I'm tryin to fit in, like, a five hour thing somewhere, doesn't look like it's gonna happen...eh, oh well!

 

If it's the same group, their site says: "Total trip time is about 3 ½ to 4 hours, with 2 hours being on the river itself". If the mapping is correct, it looks like only a 15 minute drive to the location with an hour or so for check-in, getting equipment, etc.

 

yep you got it 10-4 is about right by the time we get there and get back.

 

Thank you guys...looks like I'll have to leave out the extra plans! I only hope we can come out of the rafting with as many screensavers with inspirational quotes as we did last year...are Mr. and Ms. Marvin Rock coming this year or is he on duty? Anyone know?

 

He said he couldn't come. I think he's getting ready to trade the Corps for college.
