So are you guys ever going to develop the kit? I saw the car was up and running? Have you made any advancements on selling any conversion parts?

I have to admit to being critical back then, but the current direction is so much better now than it was originally progressing. Fairly excited now to see the end result.

Is this thread still going on, or can we change this to "The End of the Swap to End all Swaps"?

the guy had some serious health issues for a year or two, cut him some slack

Did not know about health issues. Hate that. Hope he is on the mend and he can finish what he started. I'm well aware how sickness and disease can change a person's perspective. What was once so important is rightly put in its proper place. God, family and health should always come before cars/hobbies and even careers that is for sure.

That turbo sure is in there. Wonder if a lowmount BW8374 would fit with a similar setup. I'm still new to turbo sizings as I have spent most of my automotive career/research keeping a high mileage renesis still kickin.

Edit: When I watched the series a few years ago, I had thought they were using a much smaller turbo out of a diesel for the 350 hp range....But damn that sure is one large spooly boi

it wasn’t the OP, it was Carlos Lopez, who is essentially the driving force behind accomplishing the build and then potentially offering it as a kit.

Been trying to figure out where that manifold came from. It appears to be something from the past that’s cast, but am not sure if it’s modified or much else about it. It being so compact is what allows the low-mount fitment.

It's about as low as you can possibly go, makes my low mount look tall

@TeamRX8 He talks about that manifold around 21:00. In episode 10 it looks like he is messing around with the fitment using that manifold as well. It doesn't appear Cartech is still in business anymore and haven't seen this manifold yet....more google searching to be had when I'm "busy" at work.

it’s not the Cartech manifold, or at least not the one I'm able to find pics of

it seems to be just a mock up on what appears to be some kind of variation of a 2nd Generation turbo manifold, but ultimately they say it’ll be a custom manifold if it ever comes to fruition
