Just a thought. Tuning an REW swap with a Cobb AP?

I understand that the Cobb has it's limits and for that can understand a need for some sort of standalone. But in keeping the REW's power say under that threshold. Would it be possible or would the swap dictate a need for a stronger source of tuning? I was thinking of a swap similar to Cran's swap. But say in the 350-400whp range.

I tried looking to see if this has been covered but didn't really see a direct answer. If this has been covered than I apologize and will close this thread.

My 2 cents, 300-350whp can be made with the Renesis.
No sense in swapping a REW for that power level.

The problem is you'll eventually want more and then the question is will it be up for the task? :dunno:

It's not possible to use the Cobb to tune a REW swapped car because you don't use the RX8 ECU to control all the functions of the REW. 300WHP seems to be the reliable limit of the Renesis with a good tune realistically. So if you are looking at 350WHp then you need to look at a swap.

That is true.

That is more the answer I was looking for. Thank you.
