Fuel system set up for 13b rew swap

Like the tittle says. I would like to know how to re-do or if i could use the current fuel system on it for my swap. This is the only thing i need to complete the car but im stuck. Fyi the engine is stock. Thank you in advance

They make plenty of fitting to use the Oem set up. If you need more they make upgraded pumps. If you need more a return fuel system is in order and is not to hard to build but not cheap. I am just scratching my head at the part you were able to pull off a engine swap, wiring to get it to work, but do not seem to have a clue where to start on the fuel set up.

+1.

By "the only thing to complete the car" do you mean in real life or on paper?

If you are street driving an upgraded pump likely would be enough.

Track is different. After trying damn near everything...I think a biggish surge tank is needed for a turbocharged engine if you expect it to live at the track. It isn't a matter of if you will have a fueling problem but when...and Murphy usually makes it happen at the worst possible time.....

Design the fuel system according to your engine build. See how much power you're going to put down, translate it to LPH and start from there.

Then study the difference between a return \ return less fuel setup and pick the right one for your goals.

It's really this easy.

Lol...I wish ;) Getting the fuel to the pump is the trick :)

Think you hit the nail on the head .
Do you think a boost dump on low fuel pressure would prevent a blown engine at the track ?

That's part of the game though, isn't it? God blessed us with fuel cells when we really get serious :)
The op will probably never get to that point given his questions so...

If you set it high enough it probably could. Remember differential pressure is exponential with flow, so a little pressure loss on the top end doesn't effect flow that much. I'd worry about bouncing off the dump and not noticing it. Might be beneficial to have a light or perhaps set the relay to lockout with a reset switch.

Great point - that is exactly what does happen with the setup i have . Going to try for a more aggressive dump but if i don't feel that , your idea will be next.

Let me rephrase it. I got everything in the car. Micro tech still waiting to be installed since i dont know how to. The fuel setup, im trying to do
Myself. This is the last thing i need before having the car wired by the mechanic

airman90 02-01-2013 02:44 PM

Btw do i really need to do it since my build is going to be completely stock for now

I fail to see how it's "completely stock for now" as there's no way you left the stock twin turbos on there. Unless you're like the other guy who's building his 8 with a fully 13brew that's not a brew and it's a FC engine...

I went single turbo since the twins dont fit without some custom work which i was going to do but decided not to.

airman90 02-12-2013 10:42 AM

And btw it can be done with the twins. I already saw it on another car

Sephitrask 02-12-2013 01:24 PM

the amount of material that needs to be removed to clear the twins is just not worth it....
