Datsun 710

Going to swap in a rotary into my Datsun 710.

It is a very similar car to the Mazda RX3.

Already got it painted.

Swap will be done for sure.

Should I go Turbo ? FI ? Or carbureted ?

It will be a fun car to drive. Since its suspension is not a super sports car's (although mod

ified off course) looking for a fun swift car.
A carbureted 13B street or Bridge ported would be fun.

A turbo would be cool but more issues may arise.

Would like to hear from swappers.

I have a Datsun 610 with an SR20T. My RX8. But need my fun RX.

Modifying tbe RX8 is no option due to smog laws and crap.

What do you think guys ?

Turbo is always better an carbs suck. Heck a NA Renny would be fun in that car. But a 13BREW is the obvious choice.

The choice would really depend on the intended use of the car and the target power to weight goals. There are alot of options with something like this.

Cool idea, nice Datsun.
I had a '83 Datsun Maxima wagon I kick myself for letting go.

Thanks for the replies.

It is a 1974 Datsun 710. Since it is a 74 (pre 75 smog excempted) no issues with emissions

I am at stage when thinking on powerplant to get. Late RX7 turbo sounds good. A 20B would be nice but those motors alone are getting very steep.

Datsun 710 has been painted with quality work

Both windshield and rear glass removed and rust around glass repaired

Late this year it goes through transplant

Been awsiting for windshield moulding clips in my garage

Waiting for months Can not seem to find those darn clips That has been the delay

Can not re install the windshield until I get those clips

If I can not find them I will have to put the glass back on and do away w/o those mouldings

That sucks, I would say get a couple of them as see if they would work, or even get their dimensions to see if they are close
