Just a little teaser. Since OP isn’t around anymore.CX racing kit used also but Tdx57 turbo (garret based turblown) instead of a Borg Warner or precision. Own thread coming soon. Pretty similar to this build.

It’s a well proven combination, you can’t really go wrong there.

that usually depends on the coils/kit being used.

You can pretty much mount them any where in the engine bay, but the one common mistake some people make is putting them too far away with long leads. They really need to be as close as possible to the plugs with short lead wires to help minimize electrical interference with other critical wiring; the ESS ignition trigger wheel wiring in particular.

Jake,

Did you ever end up finishing this? Final results? Preference? I had to dig around to find this photo again of your CX Racing build.

makes sense.

Ended up getting vinny fabs A1 IGN pnp coil kit with bracket and harness- turned out pretty amazing with their AST delete tank as well.

Kind of came across this old thread by chance so I thought id update. 9180EFR 0.92AR w/ cast turblown low mount with 1/2" studded and street ported block.

very nice 👍

so I’ve been contemplating the Chips Dry Sump front cover setup . Chip says it will fit and clear the front of the subframe (does require a smaller OD main pulley, which I have), but I’m not so sure it will clear with the oil pump extension on the front. Been trying to get in there and measure the clearance on mine to very the clearance measurement. The last pic reminded me to do that.
