Also with Belair Direct, I am at 128/month for a 300/300 Deductible, rental coverage, 2 million of liability... But I have a couple years on you! ;) 15 to be exact! Like RIWWP said. there are so many factors for insurance, location being a major one. |

just to share, moving from my 2013 Mazda MX-5 Club PRHT (silver) to a 2010 Mazda RX-8 R3 (red) caused my insurance to increase by about 18%

Currently at ~$73/mo for full coverage, $500 deductible. I'm 26, and just moved the 8 to being my second car, since I just picked up a low mile B13 Sentra to commute in. I think it was ~$80/mo for the 2 years prior to getting the Sentra. Oh, and I've always had Erie for my coverage.

Here in Canada I'm paying 700 bones a year for full coverage with TD Meloche Monex. I'm affiliated with a few groups who get discounts with them.

Paying $130/mo, but just got quoted for $70/mo from another company, which includes renters insurance on my duplex. Full coverage. I'm 36 with a clean driving record. So I'm def switching tomorrow!!

Hi friends, new on the forum, but I'm picking up an 8 in a few months.
20 years old, male, 1 speeding ticket (10-15 over), Los Angeles, CA, main policy holder with 2 drivers and looking to do multi-car discount I'm currently on Mercury and currently paying $132 for a, 05 Civic coupe. With the rx8 I'm looking to pay $225. Here are some other quotes I've been getting on a multi-car with the Civic being the daily and the 8 being a pleasure car: Alliance: $218 Geico: $121 Still looking into other insurance companies. I need to look into State Farm, Farmers, Metlife, Wawanessa, USAA, Progressive, Liberty Mutual, 21st Century, Allstate, and Nationwide. Am I missing any others? |

USAA, 33 years old, no accidents, a few tickets for speeding a few years back, $500 Comp/$500 Collision deductibles.

133/mon 1 no insurance, 3 speeding 5-10 over, and 1 15-20 over 2005 with less than 500 miles on the rebuild

I have liability only on mine. 2004, 35 years old. I pay a huge amount of $351 a year with metlife through my work.
my entire insurance for the year is close to some people's insurance here. 04 civic, $327, 05 aveo $310, 04 rx8 $351, RX7 full coverage $750 total: $1738 a year. this is with 2 drivers as well. |

If it matters for any younger UK drivers on this forum considering RX-8s, 22 with 4 years no claims and a licence under a year old I was getting quoted for as little as £800/year for a 4-port/5-speed MT RX-8, when I was looking for one with only 2 years NCD (and if I had just got my licence at the time), was about £4400 for a 19 year old me to insure a 6-port/6-speed MT RX-8, £3300/year for a 4-port. No claims (as much as Ford Transits and BMWs try to change that, yet to succeed), no convictions (police seem to be intent on changing that), no cancelled/voided policies. All 04-07 plates, UKDM too, no autos since the only automatic I've ever driven is a Mazda MX-30.
The road tax can bite, however, since my 07 plate 8 is £600/year to tax but my old 04 plate 230 would have been about £235/year or roundabout there. So factor that into your running costs if you are a little tighter on cash but still want a rotary, always a horrible combo but you do you I guess. |
