Hello all..... this is my first post on the Mazda forum. I have enjoyed looking around and now would like some opinions.
I looked at a 2005 yesterday. White with the Grand Touring pkg. The dealer is giving me this deal: $2,500 off msrp, plus $2,500 additional for financing through Mazda Credit. Final price: $27,409 plus t & t. They also want $299 for doc fees which I told the salesman is bs. He said many of the other dealers usually charge $800 or $900. You would have to be insane to pay that. I thought about $100 would be fair.
I would like to know what you think about the price, and the doc fee.
The car has the red/black leather, which I find very appealing. It is a 6 speed.
I don't like the terrible gas mileage, and oil use I have been reading about.
All input welcome

Thanks in advance, Alan

Does it have any other options? $27,400 is $800 less than what I paid last month, but I had a GT with the appearance package, a spoiler and CD-changer.

Doc stamps are required by the state and that price will vary. Are you referring to dealer prep fees? These can be negotiated off the price of the car. They detail your car before delivery, but that doesn't cost them much. The dealers in my area charge between $300 - $500.

oil usage is a non-issue unless you flog it and my milage is only about 10% less than my work car (95 Altima)
