I am thinking of buying a brand new RX8 (it is still being sold in my country). However, since the production of RX8s have stopped, will it affect future maintenance (e.g. getting replacement parts, etc.). If I'm getting the RX8, I was hoping to keep it for a long time... over 10 years... What do you guys think?

 

Where do you live? How is the Mazda dealer network in your location? Are you mechanically inclined? These are things you need to post.

 

Live in Brunei (South East Asia), I've always thought that the RX8 is a pretty good car (performance and looks). In terms of experience, I am probably considered a noob. All I know is really basic maintaining (regular trips to the dealer for periodical servicing). I've been reading up all the basic information needed for potential/new owners posted on the forum.

 

You need to talk to Foo77, I think that is his name, I believe he has an RX8club for Brunei, also Malaysia isn't that far away, they have a club as well.

There's still gonna be parts, even though they stopped production of the rx8. Just remember, we have cars from way way back, and they still have parts for it, but not too much, but there's still parts, you just got to look and search for it.
