Mazda Factory Rebate
 

According to the Edmunds website, Mazda has intituted a $500 rebate or dealer incentive for 2004 RX8s. Good to know when negotiating with the dealer.

I was looking at that and the $500 applies to those who have recently graduated from college or are pursuing a post-graduate degree.

Yup, that's only for recent or soon to be college grads. I doubt there'll be any kind of rebate on the 8 any time soon. However, I am watching all the current dealer rebates, so as soon as there is one, it'll be posted.
