Insurance and what you are paying, heres a good one

I was shopping for insurence 2 month ago before buying my RX8 and I found huge difference in prices between companies. Im 28 years old, never had a ticket or accident and I live in Indiana. These are the quotes I got for my 2004 RX8 for full coverage:

-Geico : ~$250 a month
-State Farm: ~$350 a month
-Progressive (which I had been with): ~$250 a month
-Haulers Insurance Company: $78 a month!!!!

I was told the reason why Haulers is so cheap is they only insure people with good records, so if anyone has a good record, I'd suggest checking out Haulers.

Anyone else found a cheaper one, in case my record becomes bad due to driving an RX8 lol ;) ?

Wow...how does your insurance workd down there? Up here I'm paying about $100 a month and my drivers license is $25 a year...WOW thats expensive! I get full coverage and my deductable is only $220, which covers everything.

My deductible is $250 for comprehensive and $500 for collision. I could not understand why it was so expensive with other company. As far as driver's lisence its like $10-15 bucks and it lasts you for like 4 years or something. Mine dont expire till 2013 and i got it last year so...

Good gosh man, I have Progressive and insure two cars (see sig) for half of that every month, full coverage! That sounds wrong. (I'm mid 30's age-wise, but you're still over 25 so you shouldn't be paying the Fast and Furious tax anymore)

Maybe it's a location thing.

yea there are companies that only write the best risk. My coworker was insured with one here in Toronto and they refused to cover him after he got two tickets within a year and a half of each other.

And people need to stop comparing premiums with other people. It's not a straight up comparison! it's apples to oranges

I pay $230/month for 1 car with a pristine driving record.

I'm also 20 years old and live in NYC.

Come November and my 21st birthday that should be going down to $140/month.

edit: oh yeah and that's with $1,000 deductibles.

Hey guys, Haulers may be cheap, BUT do they PAY when you need them to? Geico is pretty good, USAA is the best about paying. State Farm is very competitive price wise, but they are hard to get to pay as of the last few years.
