Florida Legal question about financing

I bought my 8 at the end of October, and I have yet to receive a bill. Dealer claims Mazda is taking too long processing the loan, but I'm still responsible for the interest. I am unable to make payments yet because an account with Mazda American Credit doesn't exist for me yet.

Is it legal for them (the dealer) to make me responsible for accrued interest when there is no way for me to make payment, or do they actually have to wait to start charging interest after the loan is processed? My intention was to just pay this loan off immediately, and this delay (which is no fault of my own) is costing me money, according to the dealer.

Personally I would be on ethe phone with the fiance company until it was settled. But yes just because you dont get a bill you still know it is due, but i there is no account to pay into I am not sure how that would work. Call the fiance company and talk to the highest up person you can and see what is really going on.

I am still waiting for my 1st payment coupon as well. They set my first due date 45 days from my purchase date. I don't want to have any late payments, so I went to my dealer and had the finance manager phone MAC. They gave me my account number for my loan over the phone. Then I took the account number and set myself up online to pay via ebill.

Call Mazda American Credit- their # is on the website. You can enter in your social security number and gain access to your account. They must have at least that much setup for you by now. Worth a shot at least.

btw, I think this is a trick MAC pulls to get more interest out of people- they think if you don't get a bill you won't be tempted to refinance.

I just sent my refinance check in to them before I even got a bill- I just had to call up to get the pay-off address.
