Fair price for 05 GT?

Looking for opinions:

2005 GT, 6spd, sunroof, 23K miles, very good condition. Relatively new tires. $17988. Deal, or no deal? From a local dealer (non-Mazda).

Is this a "good" deal, in your opinion?

depending on condition i say it's a fair price from a dealership. as you would with any dealership you can try to negotiate down but i wouldn't be upset if i were buying and that was as low as i could get them.

18 out the door would be a great deal, but you still have to add taxes and fees to that 18 so you're looking at more like 20 when it's all done. but for a very good condition 05 GT I'd say that's not too bad of a price from a stealership.

Questions to ask dealer at pre-purchase inspection?

So, I've got the dealership to 17, which puts me out the door below 18. I'm going to take the car to a local Mazda dealership for a once over before sealing the deal to check to make sure engine hasn't been replaced or something else major, and check for major issues (even though it's under warranty...). Any other suggestions for questions I could ask the dealer at the inspection?

see if it has the latest flash and has had the compression test
