Current build to delivery times?
 

If you recently got a delivery date for your RX-8 or you just picked up your car from the dealer, how long was it from the factory build date? I'm trying to figure out when I should expect my car to land here in Seattle now that I know the build date.

Yeah, I know there are a lot of threads on this subject, but they mostly deal with pre-order production. I'm looking for current production to delivery times. With 9 fewer horses to cram into the engine, they ought to be getting faster, right? :D

BTW, I have a 1st week in October build date.

Unfortuantely, even with less horses to cramp into the twin rotary, it would appear the production/shipping time did not get improved because the sizes of the new horses are bigger than previous. ;)

My estimated build date was Aug wk 1. It wasn't built until wk 3. And I have this horrible feeling that the car is still sitting in Hiroshima waiting to get on the next boat.

So close, yet so far away. :(

My car's build date was 6/23 and I took it home 8/14. The dealer indicated it had been on the lot no more than two weeks, so it got there around the first of August. Hope this helps.

The one I purchased (rather, placed deposit on) has build date of 7/25 and estimated delivery date of 2nd week of Sept.
I have Appearance package and Rotary accent package to be installed at the port. ETA didn't change when I changed port installed option from mud flaps/rear spoiler/spare tire kit/rotary accent. I asked my dealer whether changing port installed option to Appearance package will delay the delivery and their answer was "no, they're getting better at it everyday".

looks to be about 1.5 to 2 months.
