Well, the deal was supposed to be finalized today, but the retarded salesman told me about the high apr today and also said i would need to bring in tax returns. wtf? I mean i don't have a real job, I just do some programming and stuff for people on the net and get paid, but I don't even do it on a regular basis. Do i still have to pay tax on that? am i screwed? this sux, i got all happy thinking i would get it today.

Consider a more substantial down payment. Unfortunately, if your credit score is low, there's not too much else you can do. You can always pre-pay, you know.

Yes, you have to pay tax on that. You're supposed to pax tax on things like birthday presents too, it's all income as far as the IRS is concerned. Can your parents sign for it maybe?

Yeah unfortunately paying taxes is something you have to do and in our society to buy a house and sometimes a car you have to show your w-2 statements to prove that you can make a certain monetary amount for a sustained amount of time. This gives the lender the warm and fuzzy that you are going to pay your bill on time. Also the financing company must have wanted something else to show a constant in your financial history, they usually only ask for tax history if you have little or no credit.
