Any updates on 2010 R3's?
 

I found a few 2010 R3's still left over. Is the cash incentive still $4k from Mazda, or did it go up this month?

What's a realistic price for these? $4/gallon gas prices can't be helping right now. Is $23k-$24k realistic?

buy it your getting a steal I assume thats american pricing...cuz I paid around 32,000 with 10,000 down and thats with a $9,000 rebate and my finance rate is 5.6 percent...you guys got it made in the states...

brand new you probably looking at $28k, used with 6k miles probably around $23k

$28k? There's no way I'd pay that. Mazda is giving $4,000 off already (as of last month, maybe more this month?). So the dealership is only taking $1000 off of a 2010 model year that they haven't been able to move in nearly a year? :confused:

you should be able to get 25900. if you are real adept at negotiations, go for 25400. good luck and dont waste time getting your deal. its an incredible car.
and - screw the mpg, its about the fun, the thrill and the individuality.

What region are you in? In the Philadelphia area, I was quote 25,600 in early April for 2010 R3. But like cbmmm3 says, its an awesome car, go for it. See if you can push for 24.

I was recently in touch with a forum member from New York, and so far the best price the dealer over there could offer was $25,9xx for a new '10 R3.

I say keep your patience and target anywhere between $24-25k. Just don't wait too long, it's a very fun car to be around... So the sooner you can pull the trigger, the sooner you can enjoy!

Oh yes... I almost forgot to mention: Please do place great importance on getting the best finance rate possible. If you need to, use your own bank to your advantage, since it's likely that they may have a better rate to offer.

I was quoted 28,400 for a 2011 R3..and that's including freight. So yea 2010 should be closer to 25k

I paid 26k in Jan-Feb, included Serius. 2.8% Interest rate.

Yes: the $4,000 manufacturer-to-dealer incentive ended in April. It went down now to $3,000 for any 2010 left. That goes to any 2010 Mazda not just the RX-8.

The $500 rebate still applies regardless. So at $3,500 that's still a good deal.

Not sure why, but the incentive seems to change every month. I believe it was $3,000 before April as well. Go figure lol.

There's a good number of 2010 R3s out there, and a pretty good number of Grand Touring and Sport as well. I suspect all of them will be there for a while:wiggle:

After talking with several managers over the past 3 months, seems like after the summer (probably early fall) many dealers will start making radical moves to get rid off....guess what: the 2011s. That's right! He explained it is very difficult to sell the last new units each time a specialty vehicle comes to the end of its production time.

So people...time to start hunting for the 2011s!!!

Why is it time to start hunting 2011's when there are still 2010's left over that could be had even cheaper?

Seems strange the incentive went down for the 2010's. I figured they'd just keep increasing it up and up until they were all gone.

As one general manager explained to me - dealers know they will be stuck with the 2011s even longer than with the 2010s because Mazda made no changes to the car on their last year of production. There's nothing special about a 2011 RX-8, people are simply even less interested. As such, he said dealers will soon start making aggressive moves on the 2011s so that they don't get stuck again.

Anyone have any idea what the incentives are from the factory this month on 2010 RX-8's?

Not sure where to look, but if any of you guys could help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I don't know if that's the updated info for this new month of June, therefore I would check back on it after a few days just to make sure. :)

Indeed: incentive now is $3,000 until the very last day of the year. Apparently, no more $500 cash rebate though :(

If only the dealer next to me would stop being stubborn and sell me the car for the price I offered. Good grief, car is still there!

Well, you have the perfect situation where you and the dealer are both equally stubborn, haha! Although I just can't figure out why the dealer hasn't given in yet. :confused: Maybe they're just too attached to that R3... The beauty of this car can do that, what can I say? :yelrotflm Don't give up though!

Call them up, and ask them if they are ready to accept your offer yet, since the car has been sitting on their lot for an even longer period of time since you last talked to them.

Tell them that all they have to do is agree to your price, and they have a sale today.

As Texas RX8 R3 mentioned above, the dealer seems to be "attached" to the car. First time I went there they said they had brought the car to a good number of auto shows in the area over the past year to promote the dealer.

For me it's all about convenience since the dealer is close to where I live. So I keep pushing:evil_laug

Seems like new 2010s are still available. Check on www.carfinder.com. That's how I found mine.

The only difference is that in 2011 the only color available for the R3 is the velocity red mica

Other than that, they are virtually the same.

I paid $27,400 for my new 2010 Velocity Red R3 a couple weeks ago. They gave me $10,000 for my 2004 Velocity Red GT with 69k miles though, which was nice.

I miss the sunroof and the Red/Black leather interior, but everything else about the new one is better. I can't imagine how a car could handle any better!

In reality, they probably gave me $8,000 for my car and accepted $25,400 for the R3.

I may be in the market for an RX8 R3...

I have seen a handful of used ones on cars.com and autotrader.. but there are a handful of NEW 2011 R3s at local dealers.

given the economy, the poor mpg of the RX8, the fact it is now discontinued, etc... I'm sure the RX8s are selling VERY poorly... which is GOOD for people like us who like them.. supply/demand...

i have read in this thread about people getting new RX3 in the $25k range. is that still doabel?

I'm looking to buy either used or new, but my ceiling is about 30k. if ic oudl find a brand new R3 in the 25-26k range.. after taxes, etc etc .. I'd be right bout at my budet cutoff...

what are they really selling for now? i know the "msrp" is over 30k.. but sounds like they are being discouned big time ...
