To all the generous people on this forum.

This is definately a shot in the dark but I'm getting desperate. I'm 20 years old living on my own having a difficult time getting financing. I can't find a cosigner to get an Rx8 and I've wanted one since need for speed corrupted me. If anyone on here would love to help a young man live a dream early on. I need a decent down payment and if enough people were to just share this post and get a 1 dollar donation, I could easily live my dream. I work at carmax in Ohio and I love cars with everything I have. If anyone has advice or is willing to help me get the ball rolling that would be rad.

:ftw: And pigs might fly.

Plenty of advice!

Part of achieving a dream is working for it. Many people (myself included) worked for numerous years to afford this car and even longer to build it into a car we visioned from day one.

Start a savings account and start putting money in it.

The OP deleted the content of the first post in this thread: https://www.rx8club.com/lounge-4/give-gift-turbo-165000/ , but it's basically the same. He wanted donations of $1 from people in the forum to fund his turbo build.

Read it for a general reaction of what you will receive, along with plenty of humor.

Also, I should point you over to my New Owners thread. (https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-forum-197/new-potential-owners-start-here-202454/) One of the points notes the costs involved. If you can't get financing, then you SHOULD NOT BE ATTEMPTING TO BUY THIS CAR. If it's just a credit problem and you have plenty of money, then save up some more and buy it outright. I assume this is not the case however, in which case you have no business buying a sports car.

I have always wanted a Ferrari Enzo, can we start one of these donations for me?

Yeah, I have 6-8 months of post surgery rehab ahead. Anybody willing to pay for me?

I only read a few pages into the link above, but this was by far the most comical response.

Maybe I've lost my sense of humor, but...

How about everyone dropping $1 (or more) into the next Salvation Army kettle they pass? Or giving something to a local food bank?

Rather than just laugh at some snotnose kid who has a job and (presumably) enough to eat, but covets a luxury item beyond his means.

Ken

How about we drop that dollar into the kettle AND laugh at the snotnose kid?
