1% over invoice good or no?
I am getting a Grand Touring, AT for $28,468 it is through a plan, don't know which one. Supposed to take delivery on Sat. Thanks for any info.

MSRP for AT + GT is $30,400, invoice $28,037. Looks like your quote is (invoice + ~$149) + 1%. Read up on the purchasing threads ... most folks are paying invoice. If you do, you could end up saving yourself a couple of hundred bucks. :)
Good luck! ZG |
Interesting, the excel sheet they sent me has the 30400 you qoute but the 149 magically appears in their invoice price. They show 24,144 and 4,043 which comes to 28,187.
Not sure why the difference. I think I can live with 149 over. I probably won't get less than the 1% because they are making a big deal out iof having to flatbed the car for the dealer trade. |
Your getting a good deal if they are dealer trading for $149 over. However i will fill you in on a little tidbit, if you lease the car you could save an additional $2000. You have to keep it leased for 3 months and then you can refinance it to a purchase. No early payoff penalty!
its a no brainer situation. Let me knoiw if i can help anymore. |
Thanks for the info, I will look into it. On the dealer trade, they didn't have what they said they did when I got there. I knew EXACTLY what I wanted. There was one being shipped to another dealer that they were going to divert, but it wouldn't be in until the end of the month.
So he calls me says there is one 600 miles away so it will have that on it when it gets here, I said I am not buying a used car, he said you can pay 500 each way for the hauler I said nope, I'll wait. My patience is killing him cuz I could at any time go buy a 350 or something...so he emails and says they found one 240 miles away, I reply I AM NOT BUYING A USED CAR. He emails again next day we found another one and it will be here saturday with 20 miles on it. (so basically they are eating the shipping on the 240 mile one for the sake of selling the car) Now were talking. sorry so long |
Also BRONX can you send me some more info on that 2000 savings?
how does that work? |
its basically a dealer cash type scenario. But if you ask they will tell you.
|
similar to a rebate. But for the dealer not the customer but they will pass it one to you if you tell them you know about it.
|
Thanks for the heads up.
