05 RX-8 (new) special pricing I got fr email
For those of you in the Los Angeles/ San Bernardino areas...
I was looking to purchase an RX-8 months ago and did not go through with it (poor sales staff at 3 dealerships I visited). The only dealership I had an ok experience with (via phone only though) was Claremont Mazda/Ford. I just received this e-mail today for a 2005 RX-8. The model I originally asked about was the 05 Shinka model they had. I don't know if this is the same one. The MSRP suggests that it is NOT the Shinka... but a GREAT deal anyway! **Email start* Dear Jeff , I know that your time is very important so I will be brief. Are you still looking to purchase or lease a Mazda RX-8? If so, I want to offer you a very rare opportunity to make your goal a reality. This weekend ONLY! 2005 Mazda RX8 MSRP: $29,115 Special Discount: $8116 Sale Price: $20,999 1 at this price. VIN#144766 But you must act now. So call me on my direct line @ 909-625-8900 and make an appointment. I will personally see you get the first class service you deserve and save both time and money. Thanks for giving us the opportunity and I will be looking forward to your call. Rod Barajas Sales Manager Claremont Ford-Mazda **End Email** Good luck guys. He may be willing to do the same deal (heck, I'm 99.9% sure he'd do it!) Quick update on why I didn't get the RX8... bad dealership representation @ 3 local dealerships... I ended up getting a MKIII Supra w/ MKIV in sights hehe. Good luck! Jeff |
If he gives a deal to you, he's not going to not give it to someone else. I'm sorry, but to dealerships we're just bags of cash.

Eh, should be a better discount than that this far into 06.

Still that aint too bad, and i could lie about it because my name is Jeff :-D

At this point in time, that car really isn't new, so that's not really a super deal, but most certainly a good price for someone looking for an RX8. The moment you drive it off lot, it's a year and a half old, and the selling price is right about where it's at in market value at this time. You can pick up an 06 MS6 (nearly same msrp) for less then 23 grand with all the incentives they have going on right now. Some are getting the Ms6 Sport for $21500 in certain areas for the sport, and $23500 for the GT. I'd try and snag a deal on an 06 before looking into that, or check out the MS6.
I make it a rule never buy buy a new car that's been sitting this long. You may pay less in the beginning, but it all comes back to you in the end, unless you guarantee plan on driving car for 10+ years, or keeping it forever. :) |
See, once i get an RX-8 I will be driving it until the day it dies

Well, as long as you are 100% sure, then, you should find the best price period on an untitled RX8, regardless of what year it is. The depreciation is really bad on this car right now, so it's not a car you buy and get rid of in 3-4 years. You buy, and you marry it, otherwise you will pay a huge price like I did. I was under the false pretense that this car would retain it's value, but the market proved this to be otherwise, so I just bit the bullet, and now I have an S2K that is #1 in residual value. At least I learned, and this won't happen to me again. :) |
I have no other passion for any other car, so i would pretty much be Marrying it. I think my gf is going to be pissed off about that though, lol.
